On Tuesday, August 6, 2019, High View Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, located in Madawaska Maine, was presented with the 2019 Maine Health Care Association Workers' Compensation Fund “Excellence in Safety” Award.
Nancy Cote-Daigle, Administrator of High View, received this award in recognition
of 1,100 days (3.1 years) without any employee injuries resulting in lost time from work and minimized job injury frequency to less than 5% of its over 100 employees.
Nancy has been the Administrator at High View Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, a 5 STAR quality rated (CMS) Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services facility for over 16 years. She and her staff continue to excel and remain committed to providing quality medical and personal care in a “home-like” environment to all residents that call High View “home”.
High View Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is a continuing care retirement community, "CCRC", offering 51 beds in their skilled nursing and long-term care community floors and 12 separate independent living apartments (Riverview Terrace Apartments) with access to medical and skilled nursing care if needed.
MCAWCF provides workers’ compensation group self-insurance for long-term care organizations throughout the state of Maine, such as High View Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Madawaska. Their focus on safety consulting and educational support helps to reduce employee injuries and reduce the cost of insurance.
Approximately 40 long-term care facilities share in the Funds membership. As of 2018, members are recipients of over $10,600,000.00 million in cash dividends resulting from the groups combined strong workplace safety policies.
